My first romantic and lead role.
As we were all just starting out, and a bit stage shy, no one dared take the lead role, including myself. However, my director mother gently eased me into taking the part.
Jenene Warret was the apple of my eye at the time and my mother knew this. She very polietly asked me who I'd like to play across from because she didn't want to make me feel uncomfortable. But, as mothers are, she knew who I'd pick even before I did.
